"Change your life today. Don’t gamble on the future, act now, without delay." --Simone de Beauvoir
A phrase I created sums up my practice: "Progress is a process; Change is a choice." Change begins with a choice, including the choice to connect with a professional to help you overcome your obstacle. But, we know that change doesn't often happen overnight. It usually consists of many separate choices that, when put together, help you reach your goal.
I believe we have a powerful mind, body and spirit connection. When one of these is out of balance, it influences the others. Once I understand your struggle, we begin to look for the many factors and causes influencing it. I'll give you a sense of what treatment might look like, and we'll begin working on it together.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic approaches in my work, seeing the importance of both understanding what's driving us as well as making life changes. I have experience with adults and children in multiple settings including high schools, college, an outpatient neuropsychological agency and an inpatient psychiatric hospital.
Please reach out to me if you'd like to find a few minutes to talk and see if treatment can be helpful. I look forward to meeting you and helping you gain understanding and feel relief!
